Ruairi McGuinness
Ruairi McGuinness is a native to Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Studies from the University of Luton, England in 2000. Ruairi held a starting position for three years on the University’s Men’s soccer team, and then became a volunteer assistant coach for his alma mater in 2000. He also played semi professionally with Ballinamallard United F.C in Northern Ireland. He was a coach for both the ‘Schools & Community Project’ and Youth academy for Luton Town F.C in England.
Ruairi was also an assistant coach for the Long Island University – C.W. Post Campus Women’s Soccer team from Dec 2008 - Dec 2010.
He was also a staff instructor for the Long Island Junior Soccer League Academy Program (LIJSL), offering licenses to youth soccer coaches on Long Island.
Ruairi is currently serving as the EMSC Director of Coaching & The EMSC Academy Program Director.
Ruairi has been a member of the ENYYSA Instructional staff from 2010 to present. In this position he helps deliver a variety of NSCAA and USSF coaching licenses throughout the state. He has served as the Head Coach for the ENYYSA Girls ODP state program and remains a member of staff for the ECNL National Camp and US Club Soccer's ID2 program.
